October 28, 2025 — Reebot Robotics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., together with the Drone Rescue Division of the China International Rescue Center, successfully conducted a nighttime forest-rescue field exercise.
The drill targeted long-standing pain points in traditional forest rescue—limited visibility at night, inaccessible terrain, and difficult target localization—and verified the real-world performance of the Reebot UniDrone E900 Emergency Drone Solution under extremely low-light and high-obstruction environments.
Nightfall Meets Dense Forest: Traditional Rescue Under Pressure
The scenario simulated a hiker lost deep in the forest after nightfall. With rugged terrain, heavy vegetation, and near-zero visibility, conventional ground searches face high operational difficulty and safety risks.
Upon receiving the emergency alert, the Drone Rescue Division activated its nighttime response protocol. Drone operators, ground search teams, and the command center worked collaboratively—using technology to break through the darkness and open a path for rescue.
Solution: UniDrone E900 — Built for Nighttime Forest Rescue
This mission deployed Reebot’s UniDrone E900, a solution engineered for complex nighttime rescue. It addresses the three most critical requirements of forest SAR missions: see clearly, identify precisely, and locate accurately.

1. Industry-Grade Flight Platform: UniDrone E900
- Wind resistance: 11.5 m/s, stable in turbulent forest airflow
- 43-minute max endurance under full payload
- IPX4 weather protection for dew and light rain
- 35 km HD transmission for long-range command and control
- Certified to GB 42590-2023, ensuring high reliability
2. The “Eyes” Above the Forest: UniPod MT11 Mini Quad-Sensor AI Optical Pod
- Ultra-clear IR imaging with 8× IR zoom; AI Super-Resolution enhances thermal clarity to 2560×2048, penetrating darkness and canopy cover
- Full-color night vision + ISP noise reduction for clean low-light visuals
- 5–1200 m laser rangefinder with ±1 m accuracy
Built-in 10 TOPS computing power, supporting human-form recognition to accelerate target detection
3. All-in-One Payload: Spotlight + Loudspeaker + Red/Blue Beacon
- Spotlight: Illuminates search paths and enhances visible-light confirmation
- Loudspeaker: Calms and guides the subject from above
- Red/Blue Beacon: Provides long-distance visual reference for ground teams and enhances air safety
Mission Workflow: Air–Ground Coordination Through the Dark
1. Rapid Night Launch & Area Scan
The UniDrone E900 completed on-site setup in under two minutes, lifting off immediately for wide-area aerial search.

2. Thermal Detection & Positive Identification
Switching the UniPod MT11 to thermal mode, operators identified a faint yet consistent human heat signature at the forest edge.
They then zoomed in with the visible-light lens, activated the spotlight for illumination, and used the laser rangefinder to relay precise coordinates—confirming the exact position and posture of the missing hiker.

3. Aerial Guidance & Verbal Reassurance
Hovering overhead, the UAV activated its red/blue beacon as a clear visual marker in the dark.
Through the loudspeaker, operators provided continuous reassurance and instructions to the stranded hiker.

4. Illuminating the Approach Path
Real-time video and coordinates were streamed to the command center and ground team.
The spotlight illuminated obstacles along the forest trail, significantly improving the team’s speed and operational safety.

5. Successful Link-Up & Mission Closure
Within visual range of the ground team, the UAV continued to guide with light and audio cues.
The rescue team reached the target smoothly and extracted the hiker—completing the drill successfully.

Coordinated Rescue Value: Faster, Safer, More Adaptive
Throughout the exercise, the UniDrone E900 delivered multiple operational advantages:
Higher Efficiency: Target located within 15 minutes; full closed-loop workflow from detection to rescue
Enhanced Safety: Aerial lighting and communication reduced ground-team blind traversal risk and stabilized the subject’s condition
Flexible Deployment: Integrated search, communication, and guidance capabilities enable rapid adaptation to diverse rescue missions
Partner Feedback: Proven in Field Conditions
After the drill, the Drone Rescue Division offered high recognition:
“This nighttime forest-rescue exercise demonstrates how advanced UAV technology is redefining the boundaries of emergency response. The UniDrone E900 is not just a search tool—it is an aerial mobile command node, integrating search, illumination, communication, and guidance. Especially in low-light and complex terrain, its multi-sensor synergy enables a true closed loop of ‘illuminate to detect, detect to communicate, communicate to guide.’ It helps us overcome traditional rescue blind spots, enhances responder safety, and strengthens all-weather operational capability.”
This nighttime field exercise fully validated the UniDrone E900’s comprehensive performance in complex rescue environments. Every stage—from rapid launch to final extraction—showcased Reebot’s strength in technical integration and mission-ready deployment.
Moving forward, Reebot will continue advancing UAV innovation for emergency response, expanding UAV applications across SAR and disaster relief, and providing a more reliable aerial lifeline to safeguard lives and property.
